Report from Mon 6/12 – Fri 6/18

 

Vilano Beach,Florida – Surf Fishing
Water temps running 78 to 80 degrees

Good reports of Pompano in the surf on early out going tides along with Slot Reds and Black Drum. Baits for best results have been Sand fleas and FRESH dead shrimp. Clams also used with frozen / thawed having better results than Shelled for the Pompano bites.

Gate Station – Surf Fishing
Water temps running 78 to 80 degrees

Large Whiting running in the 1.5 to 2 1/4 lb range.
 Black Drum and Reds coming in sporadically on FRESH dead shrimp and sand fleas. Few pompano brought in with clams but more small then keepers. Best results on early outgoing tide

Micklers Landing – Surf Fishing
Water temps running 78 to 80 degrees
Large Whiting running in the 1.5 to 2 1/4 lb range.
 Black Drum and Reds on FRESH dead shrimp and sand fleas.  Pompano coming in with clams .
small bonnet heads also biting the hooks.
Best results on early outgoing tide and early incoming tides

Jacksonville Beach Pier – Pier Fishing
Water temps running 78 to 80 degrees

Jax Pier began smoking on late tuesday when clean water moved in and the bite was on.
Anglers limiting out on Slot Reds, Black Drum , Speckled Trout in the 2lb to 3.5lb range, Flounder, Pompano in the 3lb range along with whiting in the 1.5 to 2.5lb range and the Kingfishing off the T exploded with over 10 Kings averaging 26 lbs brought Over The Rail since Wednesday.
Baits bringing in the fish are Live Shrimp ,Fresh dead shrimp,Sand fleas and Dead crab.
King Macks are hitting Blues, Greenies and Lookdowns.  Fishing will stay hot as long as the water stays clean.

Nassau Sound – Surf Fishing
Water temps running 77 to 79 degrees
Whiting running in the 1 lb range and a couple Black Drum and Reds coming in on FRESH dead shrimp and sand fleas. Pompano bite has been slow. Best results on early outgoing tide

Nassau Sound – Bridge Fishing
Water temps running 77 to 79 degrees
Speckled Trout coming Over The Rail on live shrimp ranging 1 -3 lbs and Whiting biting Fresh dead shrimp.
Also, 1 Tarpon reported in the 90lb range hooked and lost.
