Report from Mon 6/28/10 – Sun 7/4/10
Vilano Beach,Florida – Surf Fishing
Water temps running 78 to 80 degrees
Vilano Beach has been slammin’ the Pompano and Black Drum this week.
Jeff and brother George F. coming in with over 31 Pompano and a dozen Black Drum on incoming tide just off the jettie in 2 days.
Gate Station – Surf Fishing
Water temps running 78 to 80 degrees
Whiting still running in the 1.5 to 2lb range and sporadic.
Pompano hitting Sand Fleas and fresh dead shrimp on late incoming and early outgoing tides. The Drum have backed off a bit with only 3 coming in on the reports.
Micklers Landing – Surf Fishing
Whiting in the 2 lb range being caught early morning and late afternoon on Fresh dead shrimp.
Jacksonville Beach Pier – Pier Fishing
Water temps running 77 to 79 degrees
Reports of a Thermocline has slowed down the fishing a bit at Jax Pier.
Kingfish still being reported with over 1/2 dozen coming Over The Rail and a few trout and Pompano along with whiting still being caught in the breakers off the pier.
Pier hours were shortened from friday to sunday due to getting the fireworks display setup on the T-End. Fishing on the whole pier has resumed monday morning.
Nassau Sound – Surf Fishing
Water temps running 77 to 79 degrees
Whiting running in the 1 lb to 1 1/2 lb range. pompano hitting Sand Fleas and Clams .
Still, The Best results are on the early outgoing tide off the point.

Water temps running 77 to 79 degrees
Whiting, trout and a Tarpon reported.
sand fleas and fresh dead shrimp are still the bait choice.
