Yes part of me wanted to eat it but i also know how just about everyone keeps them, the illegals rape the undersized fish too, it is not an endless bounty of fish, mostly because bait gets gobbled up...

1st, i went carping may 13th. Only got 1, 13 lbs.

Then on may 19th i went to the Merrimac river on the coast, fished incoming tide and had a good 3 hours of catching mystery cats and striped bass....

1st common carp this year in weston mass. 11.34 lbs., hopefully i'll be catching striped bass soon. :reeling:

yes, i have tried almost every fish but that was years ago, i release everything now unless a buddy begs me for a trout lol

Now and then I miss New England

The past two weeks there have been many reports of Giant and small Bluefin Tuna being caught on Middle Bank, East of Chatham and off the southeren Maine Coast.

Talked with an ex-neighbor from when I lived on Cape Cod. He advised that squid are on the shoals in Vinyard Sound and the weirs off Chatham. Stripers, with some keepers have started to come into the...

By no means a monster but I estimate around 15lbs.She was safely returned to the water.I'm pretty happy though as its been awhile since ANYTHING has pulled drag!

We went out again 05/05/06 on the Pawcatuck with similar results. The fish were on the edge of the flats and the boat channel as it was hight tide that morning and the flats were flooded. The squid...
