Nice pix. That's one tired looking fish. How long did it take to land? How long did it take to revive?

I need to ask you a question. I was wading with my dad in biscayne and we came upon a small, what looked like a bull. We had about 80 or so shrimp in the bucket and crushed some up real quick and tossed it in front of him. He turned around and smelled it. I then rigged up a shrimp and pitched it infront of him. He hit it with his snout and turned away. I thought for sure he was going to devoure it. Am I doing something wrong? Do they eat shrimp? I'm sure they do. Thats all I am really armed with out there. Anything I can do to improve my chances when I am looking for these beauty's in between tides?

A pinfish would be more appetizing, but in that situation I would chum the water with the shrimp like you did and then pitch a big white jig in front of his face, then again you'll never see me shark fishing while wading

Mark sosin saws that large poppers with a jig on the back instead of a treble hook works great for inshore sharks but never tried it, and take everything he says with a grain of salt.
BTW get that guy a fighting belt don't make him sit in the sand for that fish
