Re: help!!!!!!
Looks like a blue runner, but without the fins extended it's hard to tell. It's definately part of the Jack family. As far as good eating, I wouldn't call it good but fair. Just cut out the blood vain and cook it fresh.

Re: help!!!!!!
Yep jack crevalle, not a good food fish. Just a suggestion, you probably shouldn't keep fish that you can't ID, that is a good way to get a big fine if FWC catches you with something undersized or out of season.

Re: help!!!!!!
I know a great recipe for BlueRunner, get the fillets and fry them up in some bread crumbs, add a lot of garlic and lemon juice, also add some salt, pepper oil and vinegar then once there dont frying , throw out the fillets and eat the pan instead.

Re: help!!!!!!
if you bleed them and put them in a bucket of water it takes a lot of the blood out of the fish it will still taste strong, people do eat them ,then again they eat the strangest things, depends on where you are from, much better SHARK bait. TIGHT LINES
