If I can ever get a few days when I'm home that aren't booked solid I'll post up a few unlucky fish that bite. Don't think I'll have much time though, going wading for bones next Wednesday, work Thursday and Friday taking the lady offshore Saturday and back to the island Sunday night.

This blow didn't help, muttons are stacked deep out here. Teasing me.

Marcos

I have to travel far east to Korea.next week. Otherwise, I could miss BBQ again.
So I decided to travel next week.
It means I can only fish this week.
I know you beat me by 0,25"... I will try to catch pompano this week.
I guess I will not have time to catch snapper.

I just have a break from work and am heading up right now to Jupiter inlet and Juno pier...this will be my last chance to beat linesider (1/4" ahead of me) by catching pompano... but I have a bad feeling that he might beat me up with 18" snapper...

Nice to see some are trying. GK gave you all a nice hint with Haulover. Someone should take a drive to Sebastian, big bluefish and jacks while you fish for black drums, sheepshead, and pompano at the sametime.

Not exactly but similar end result.
My @ss got really frozen.

When I hit Juno pier yesterday 2/19, I saw a bunch of pompano pier regulars including Japanese lady, which was good sign cause they were supposed to know what what they are doing. New moon current was strong, wind about 15Mph... both wind and current were same direction from North to South... what a perfect condition.
I caught about 16 blue (they loved my spoon) and kept 10. Numerous small jacks around 15"...a few blue runners and lady fishes....one small mack (I lost one decent mack  )...two pompanos (one keeper and one short)... Pompano jig caught too many jack and lady fishes... I caught those pom on sand flea and clam...
Pier closed at 8:00PM so I left early around 7:00. And then tried to get live shrimp but Juno bait store were closed.
First hit Jupiter Island bridge but only cat fishes. Moved to Jupiter Inlet. no snappers probably too cold... But I started to catch many jacks 20" range and fat cats
I saw two guys were catching porgies. So I used clam and caught one nice porgy.
Around 11:30 PM... I called it a night... so cold... my whole body frozen... I was only thinking of hot chocolate so something warming my body...
But probably, one of best boatless fishing for several months...

Yo Linesider
I am going to Korea with piece of mind...
I am coming back on 28th. I may try to catch small snapper if needed...lol

You need to beat me...all you need is small pompano... And I will catch small snapper too... that is the spirit of the tourney... I really enjoy it...I am sure you do too... :toast:

I will do what I can do to get blank. Custom rod market is none in Korea. I plan to visit the manufacturing company directly...

Well bring back a couple diff blanks like some 200 range and some 3 or 400 and we'll put em to the test.
Like I said I need a 300-400 g jigging rod.

DISQUALAFICATION..............Not so fast there Bucky. How do I know that's not a pic of your biggest jack from five years ago? No frito bag no entry. :auto: :auto: :auto:

But nice fish

Yeah, I wasn't sure what the purpose of the Frito bag was anyway, and I wasn't going to pay $6 bucks for a bag from the pier natzi lady as well  . If you must have proof just look at the first number in the file name however its is today's date. Besides, I think blue is on a mission here, so my chances are slim to none anyway. :reeling: :reeling:
