Type of lens in Costa's.

Post by Ryan71 »

So I got lucky and recieved a free pair of Costa Del Mar Hammerheads.
I was just wondering if there was a way to tell if the lenses are plastic or glass(without smashing them)
They are blue mirror and Im not even sure if blue mirror plastic lenses are produced.
Just curious about this and if you guys know anything about it let me know.

The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

In the Costa Del Mar online store it didn't give much info. Thanks for finding that info.

Yep, all the mirrored Costa lenses are glass. Great lenses, just don't drop them.

On a side note. If they are the 580's it will be stamped 580 on one of the lenses. :toast:

You have the 400 lenses, that is what I have in my Fathoms. You will be happy with them. One of the nicest things is when you get salt spray on them, you can just wipe them off with your t-shirt and they won't scratch, since they are glass.
