Awesome dude looks great already I'm sure it will be even better once you take care of the rear.
What are you going to do in terms of an Engine david?

only paid 400.00 for the hull
Chevy Juan wrote:Awesome dude looks great already I'm sure it will be even better once you take care of the rear.

going to look for a 75 hp Johnson when the boat repairs have been done
and as far as the googans with boats i plan on staying well away from them if possible , main reason for getting the boat . as far as the floor who ever did it the frist time only put down reg plywood and tried to seal it with marine tex , but it will be cut out and pvc board put down and fiber glassed over and will never rot again ..

rob762 wrote:Avoiding boat ramp googans is tough.... I still have vivid memories from my childhood of the hilarious, stupid and downright dangerous stuff people do to launch their boat.
ive heard people used to sit in lawnchairs at black point and drink beers, and because the ramp is so bad like tons of people would watch gather and watch and laugh.
ive only been loading and unloading jetskis and boats for a while and i have never had a problem? i see people take forever and suck at it, sometimes it takes me a couple times to back straight in, but i just dont get it....
when i lived in Mass, me and my buddy were going out and someone was loading his boat on, he didnt lift his prop as he pulled out on a steep ramp and scraped it for about 20 feet...that was hilarious

thanks all for the best wishes , as far as the ramp i dont have to go far for that , the saltilla river by me we go down there now and then to watch people , there enough water there to launch a jon boat and there are some trying to put in 19 foot pro line boat and big bay liners its fun to watch them get pissed off and then smoke the tires on the way out because the the trailer is in the water and the boat never touches it ...
rare i will try and take pics for you
permitchaser that tank wont be used and will be taken out its only 12 gals and a 30 gal tank will replace it plus a 15 gal reserve tank under the center console

With a 75 horse power you'll be able to go to Bimini and come back with that much gas. you should look for a 115hp if the transom can handle it.
Looks like a nice fishing platform and something very easy to handle by yourself to launch and retrieve.
Good luck on your venture

115 would be ice but the boat is only rated for a 75 , id would only push it with maybe a 90 or less , dont want to rip the transom off that would be no fun

if it's rated for a 75, then stay at 75 or the transom will slowly crack. You do not want that.

I keep looking at the boat man and its got so much potential. And as Herb mentioned I'd say yea just keep it at 75 to keep that rear in tact and kept fresh for the long haul, you dont want any suprises
I also noticed it came with a cooler too dude!!..
And by the way man, dont you dare take off that rope trim around the haul, gives it a great classy fishing vintagy feel!!..I know I know, but seriously I doubt you will remove it anyway just saying..

that cooler if you want it come and get it about all its good for is a live well and it weighs about 50 lbs where the snaps were for the lid have pulled all the way threw the lid and the bottom looks as it has been towed behind a truck for about 4 miles and will be replaced with this one with the seat

as far as the motor were going to try and stay around the 75 hp rateing just depends on what comes up and for how much , we are keeping an eye on one already they guy took the foot apart and messed it up and we have a current offer to him for 1500 but he had it listed for 2200 its a 2001 johnson 75 hp
and the rope trim will stay for now but will be replace next winter when the bottom get new gel coat ...

David, 75 hp is plenty ,ok make sure you put a water separator on d fuel line ,and and gas treatment on the gas if not going to used often .Ethanol is crap bro for outboards.
