That is actually a blue marlin, or even a black marlin... Now I have witnessed this with my own eyes while swording commercially. I have seen a 4 foot mako kill a 8-9 foot billfish. They start picking at the tail, small bites using their speed to their favor... Finally the tail will come off from the fish thrashing, then it is an easy meal... They also hunt in packs as younger fish. That picture is most likely a mako victim. With that in mind, a swordfish WILL kill a mako if given the chance, and the sharks do NOT mess with healthy fish, they wait till the fish are hooked or seriously injured.

yea def a marlin head.... a swordfish has alot bigger eye and thee bill will be longer.
