Where can I catch a tarpon in the miami area

I been fishing for awhile now can't find any good tarpon spots all I catch is snook and I am getting tired of the same fish ! Anybody know a good tarpon spot around miami fort ladurdale area I don't mind taking a hour drive or so I really want to catch one

well you could hit the marina in flamingo and catch little dink poons or you could take the drive to the keys or you could pay for a guide to take you out

I used to work at lauderdale marina lol. They would get so pissed when people would fish there

Haulover, canals,spillways,along the trail,keys bridges everyone holds tarpon. If you can find a legal spot to fish in Miami theres usually tarpon there.

yep...any bridges connecting the mainland to the beach should hold tarpon...now landing one from land is a diff story

I've caught em at Haulover and gov cut, and all down the stretch of beach that connect the 2.

Been seeing a ton at anglins pier
