The best I got 4 years back was $1.92lb.

$2.00lb was that recently? There is one more guy I have to check for....but remember that leadbandit

Check it out. Looks like both options are not the best way to go at the moment. lead bandit has terrible reviews, and seems like its taking months to get your order with out any communication. Sad, because it's probably just a guy pouring lead from his house and got slammed with orders.

I've used lead bandit quite a few times, yes at times it's a little slow but I try to order way in advance. However we had a last minute trip out of Naples last summer and I mentioned that I needed weights pretty quick, they were sitting on my doorstep 3 days later.

I'll need to get lead for the yankee trip from him soon i reckon.

I've ordered twice from Lead Bandit, can't beat the price, you'll get the weights but it may take a while. Last time I ordered, it took almost a month, but he was nice enough to give me a promo code for 20% off my next order.

I might give him a shot, when I need a big order. I just got 24 10 ounce egg sinkers from ebay for 30 bucks with free shipping. More than enough to last me until the PR trip, and it was at a sick price. Now I just need to this wind to let up so I can go fish!

The best with lead bandit is to visit his garage. No waiting there. If anything missing, he makes right there...

I was wondering if anyone think about using lower gear of 2 speed reels for slow-pitch jigging.
For example, make one turn at low gear after slow pitch jerk. This may be easier than half or quarter turn.
Just thought.

you will get tip wrapped if you try to jig with a low gear reel, the reason for the high speed reel is for constant motion of the jig, you wont be able to retrieve enough line on the up and down stroke
