From my understanding Elite 5 DSI has only Down imaging and GPS. It does not have the traditional 2d sonar

Elite 5 HDI has all 3, (DI, 2d and GPS)

Clarence, if you head down to the keys and our schedules coincide I can pass on to you the knowledge I have down there. Well take one trip and I will take the time to teach you all I know, regardless of what you are targeting down there, I have fished for it at one point or another. As far as up north though, I doubt I would get skunked If I tried real hard, but I do not have hands on experience up north. The keys are my yard though lol! I have very productive spots here and there which you would NEVER know existed, they are STUPID close to ramps too!

I'd spend that cash to fix your wheels, bearings, springs.. so you are safe on the hi-way, unless your boat is in the water or dry-storage where you don't have to drive to a ramp, then worry about fishing

300 = 100.00 to 200.00 to find a transducer i would pass on it !!

transducers are the one thing i will not buy from craigslist or ebay , for the reason that you dont know if they work and only have word of mouth and when you go to run it and it dont work your stuck with it , its pretty much getting the same way with the head units now days it just better to get one that is new in the box that way if there is any problems you can get it fixed ...
