I still havn't seen mullet thick at either boynton or boca inlets. I'm hearing they are sticking to the ICW around the boat ramps. :toast:

I've been fishing Huthinson Island just south of the power plant all month and just wrapped up today. The mullet have been thick in the Indian river all month and they were the bait of choice except for last weekend. Last Saturday and Sunday were dreadfully slow with no fish landed.
This weekend was a different story. The bait finally moved into the surf. From the 5th floor of the condo I could see baitslicks from the breakers out to about a mile and as far as you could see north and south. The surf was packed with bait and tarpon, snook, jacks...you name it. I caught plenty of jacks both days and had several cutoffs from larger prey.
I talked to the mate off of the Fins in Ft. Pierce and he said the situation is the same there.
Fishing is not a matter of life or death, It's much more important than that.

I can't say the exact same, however I can say the mullet were all over the boca inlet. Multiple pods occasionally being thrashed by lady fish. I am thankful there is still
More to come.

Lots of fingers on Hutchinson this weekend about a mile or 2 north of House of Refuge. I didn't see any huge schools but there were tons of prey nonetheless. Jacks, a million blues and ladyfish, and some snook.

I was getting spooled by a spinner, slowly locked the drag then broke him off. About 10 minutes later another came cruising in the trough like 3 feet from the shore, right where my 5-year-old was playing 20 minutes earlier. I know chances of a bite are slim but that is still freaky.

Big Northeast blow forecast for this weekend...like 25-30mph winds.

Singer Island mullet running early Sunday to midday. Blue runners, tarpon and jacks. Didn't seem to be a lot of bluefish action.

Those 8 pods came by and then a school that lasted 20 minutes and than more and more.

By 6 pm passing count for Commercial BLVD

Bus sizes Pods= More than 30 pods might og 40 or 50 I did not actually count

1/2 a football field= 6 pods

Football field = 2 pods

One steady stream = 1 over 20minutes

Pompano = 3 keepers a crap load of Juvi's
Jacks to many to count
Bluefish count hundreds upon hundreds seen and many caught
Spanish Macks = not many 8
Tarpon seen not caught = 12

Sure there was a lot more tarpon thats what I saw for the day.

Good day of Mullet ----Fishing was Fair to Good

Mullet pods all over the beach was out there with the ReelReport.com boys and Lunkerdog.com Capt. Jeff. Crazy action on almost all pods. Big tarpon 80-200 lbs., sharks, snook, and jacks. Couldn't get my bait in the outside if school where the tarpon were busting. Crazy!

Hit the the Singer Island beach at high tide yesterday pm. High winds, big surf, brown, sandy water and a bunch of ladyfish and blue runners. No mullet visible. Bait moving through in spurts. Tough to cast with wind in my face and surf in my pants.

Yeah, I mean we needed the north / northeast wind but what we are getting now is too much wind. Just hoping that when the wind calms down the mullet will pool up into big schools.
