Need some help here, finally want to get a rod specifically for my 9/0 and not have to keep switching. Been using an 8 foot 40-50 ugly stik with foulproofs so far.
Budget is upto $150, not looking for anything custom.
Reel is spooled with 500 yards of 100 lb braid and a 100+ yard topshot of 100 lb mono.
Probably would want some braid ready guides, as i have heard foulproofs dont handle the braid too well.
Thanks in advanced!

Re: Help with rod selection for 9/0
A longer rod would be better, i am guessing at least 8 foot.

I have one for sale $50 and it's all yours. Needs an insert on one of the rollers but other than that ready to fish. I had a 9/0 on it but sold that as I no longer shark fish
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.
