Day started out cold with a nippy wind, by noon time it was getting warm and the wind was laying down. I got a big rush of fishing fever and decided to go to the grayson lake tailwaters. Stopped at the bait store and got 3 dozen crappie minnows. Arrived at the spot and found it to be all to myself, which was surprising until i saw the water, it was raging!!! The lake above the dam was green and pretty and right at winter pool. I don't know why they were pulling it so hard, haven't had much rain to speak of. But the water was way to rough, I gave it a shot anyway, no takers. I did take a few pics.

As you can see she was rolling high!
The small eddy to the left is where I casted my rooster tails, and also tried a float rig with minnows.
I saved these guys to fight another day, got them in the branch beside my house, in a bucket of course!
I think tomorrow I'll have a report with some pics of FISH, heading to some farm ponds I hope.
