Southern Comfort 1v

Post by Sirsnookalot »

Anyone familiar with the Southern Comfort 1v charter boat? I have seen this boat go thru the Boynton inlet several times this week, never saw it before and I'm there nearly everyday. This a boat that fishes probably 6-8 people. I can't find any info on it or where it's docked. If possible I'd like to get their phone number or email to check it out, looks like nice boat to be on.

Thanks but it's not the one. The info on the boat I'm looking for is about 50' wide beam, yellow with 6 or 8 rod holders only on the port side. Has to be docked not too far from Boynton inlet, I checked out 2 georges marina early in the morning but not docked there.

I don't have my own boat.

I appreciate the help, so far this is what I have : owner John Schulz residence 1810 Finn Hill Dr, Boynton. His dad, now deceased. was a well respected charter captain in the area.
Haven't be able to locate his phone number and I do not want to invade his privacy by showing up on his front porch, think I may have to send him a letter.

Is it the big yellow boat that comes in Boynton inlet all the time? I see that boat all the time and was wondering if that was a charter.

This is the info on the boat, I received an email from them.

Thank you for your inquiry. We have started to run fishing Charters a little ahead of schedule, that is why we are a little behind on the advertising. The web address is www.southerncomfort4charters.com however it is just a landing page for now as the web site is under construction. We are open to the public and are offering two trips daily. Located at the Palm Beach Yacht Center docks, Hypoluxo, Fl. Phone # 561-585-4475

SPECIAL EARLY MORNING 6-hour TRIP

Runs on, Wed. Fri. Sat. Sun. 6:00 am ---- Noon cost is $ 75.00 per person

Mon. Tues. Thurs. 8:00 am ---- Noon cost is $ 60.00 per person

Everyday 1:30 p.m. -- 5:30 p.m. cost $ 60.00 per person.

We drift fish over the local reefs and all bait and tackle is provided as well as complimentary coffee and bottled water. The vessel is brand new and has a fully air conditioned salon. All tackle is newly custom built. And we only take up to ten passengers maximum per open trip! That is why reservations are needed and held with a credit card authorization along with a 24 hour cancellation on the customers end.
Our whole concept of this business was to put the fun back into drift boat fishing. To provide better customer service by eliminating the crowds. This allows us to help our guests on a more personable level. We only fish on one side of the boat which means less tangles etc. You get the private charter feeling without the high price. We do private charters as well and are licensed for up to 22 passengers so we can put more on board in that case. Our Captains are all Florida Natives, have many years of local fishing experience, and they are they to help you, the customer. Once again, thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Sandra Schulz

Sounds like a promising charter... just have to see if they catch fish.

I have fished with them one time.

My friend works for Strike Zone fishing store in melbourne and recommended them not knowing to much about them....None of my friends wanted to go out on there boats so i said what the hell i was dieing to go out.

These boats are not much my style, but i have to say it was a good time. The Captain was nice and the mate to. The boat is first class ( Super Nice!!!). I will tell you this it was the nicest drift boat i have ever seen.

I did not do to well with the drift thing and lost the only nice fish i hooked. It was more of me being new to drift fishing. I have done a ton of bottom fishing but the drift style was a bit tuff to get used to on the first trip out.

Others on the boat did well with the mutton snapper and it was a fun group of guys.

I will go again it super close to my house and easy. Was thinking of doing it again wed if my buddies boat is not out of the shop..

Thats my 2 cents,

Jay
