Those shirts rock.

I love how the map is from the good old days, before Miami even existed

I said one t-shirt for a prize, LOL... I wish I had the time to do this before Jongsoo had the other t-shirts made.

Just a few things guys.

- Please remember to pack your deodorant! The smell of squid is more than enough on this trip!
- Pack some talcum powder, it helps keeping your non showering sweating selves comfortable at your lower parts
- Don't forget your hats, long sleeve shirts, polarized glasses, and leave your sunscreen behind.Protect your selves with clothing. If you use sunscreen and wonder why you ain't catching that might be one of the reasons. You are putting it on your bait without knowing
- For the love of goodness don't bring perfume, you ain't going to a club, you're going fishing.
- Leave your tiny spinning combos home, this is not the place to fish with less than 30 pound test line.
- A bait rod on this trip is a 30 pound class rod and conventional or spinning gear
- Please minimize, you won't need 10 rods. 2 bottom rods, 2 jigging rods, and a bait/pitch rod is all you will need. If you have a trolling rod then add it to your list. By trolling rod I mean heavy like a Tiagra, International, AccurateATD 30 or 50 with 100 or 130 lb test line. Otherwise you will not be able to reel in your own trolling lures.
- Do not forget 8 to 10 ounce weights, bring a few 5 ounce and a couple of 16 ounce in case the current is ripping. We will fish on top of the bank. It's only up to 400 feet. Most of you already know the drill.

For information on what rigs to use please see http://yankeecapts.com/tackle-section/ and look for the “Pulley Ridge Lite Trips” section.

The rig on that section is what you need to use for bottom fishing.

I am just saying this...

We may want to limit the number of rods we put on rod holders at ship bow... Last time there were too many rods and it became a work to find available rod holder spot...This resulting in people leaving his rod on side rod holder during absence, which sometimes causes the loss of big fish that makes you walk around the boat and 2) makes it unable/hard to fish at unoccupied spot because of the rod sitting there.

What about 3 rods per person for bow rod holders instead of 10? I think this will make enough available spots...and may create some frequent traffic to upstairs. Maybe, we don't need to guard Capt's Roast beef.
I agree Jong. Also try and keep unattended rods off the rail. No one wants to loose a big fish because some inconsiderate fisher person is to lazy to walk to the bow.

Big fish boats don't even have Rod holders on the rail.

Also, tangles are gonna happen. Don't freak out, listen to the crew and be patient and be prepared to re-tie.

BRING PLENTY OF ICE!!!
A cooler blanket is a good idea, especially for the "trap door" style coolers, but keep opening and closing to a minimum. And bring good coolers! They're in the sun all day for 3 days. Bring a lunchbox size for bait on deck, keep the bulk upstairs.

The crew washes down the deck (raw sea water) as needed but keep anything you don't want soaked off the deck.

Gloves and tape are a good idea for those who plan to jig heavily. Makes the blisters easier to deal with.

Drink plenty of water.

Rory, what are you planning on dragging? I'm thinking Marauder or a Dancer
Nice Boat! Now get it outa my driveway!

I've got a few things to pull. Marauders/Yozuri bonita, some wahoo kings, and a couple Black Barts. The marauders are easy if you don't have trolling weights, shock leaders and all the other stuff you need for skirted baits.

Cruse is like 10 to 12kts? That'll set the troll weight. If we're gonna do it, may as well drag a smorgasbord.

Just hope the weeds aren't bad.

Osage is a very generous 360 Tuna member. That site has some of the most high end lures I've ever seen. Hand made works of art and guys do fish with em. Poppers go for a hundred plus all the time. Some serious tuna guys there.
