Yankee Capts 2019

OK guys talking to Greg about next year I told him I would like to do a Dry Tortugas trip. It will be a drifting trip and sea anchor deployed if necessary . For 20 people the cost would be $650 per person. I am just waiting on the dates. With our style of fishing we sure will be able to bring a nice load of fish as we will be covering a lot of area while drifting.
For this trip we would leave at noon to be able to get some hours fishing before sunrise. I have asked for August the 22nd weekend.
I just wanted to let you guys know.
Thanks,
Herbert

Get those people that a 4 day is too much for either financially or physically replaced ... easy peazy would love to spend some extra time in the good old Tortugas ... greg is getting ridiculous us with these prices though .. I’m not too shame to say it ...

Also if Capt. Greg gives us the Tortugas trip prize and instead we go to Pulley Ridge? Would yo all wanna go to Pulley instead? It will be less cutoffs and bigger fish as we have caught in the past. Please let me know as soon as possible.
Also the possibility of catching wahoo and trophy grouper at Pulley is always there.

Count me in either tugas or pulley, 150’ plus and we’ll pull better grade fish. Like Kblue says “ the deeper the dummer the fish”

I I am interested in the tugas trip if that’s the route you go.
From the past three trips of the pulley Ridge I don’t see the reason you guys go on out there or at least with this captain I would not go.

We go out there because of the results of the trips . And opportunity for far more species of fish. And I don’t mind drift fishing either

Just let me and my cousin know whenever it’s time to pay .. I won’t ever book a winter trip again . And my canceled trip couldn’t even translate to this one so what did Jordan do .. bought another rod ... amongst other things .. can wait to see you guys this summer .. July or August don’t matter I just need to know sooner than later

Its probably been asked from the previous trips but whats size vertical or slow pitch jigs would be ideal. Let say lightest jig size you would bring ? 400g jigs needed ?

I have been on all of these trips and I use 180 - 500 gram and just bought a few 800 gram jigs for deeper water or heavy current. I use 220 gram the most though.

Wow 800g. Where do you guys order heavy jigs? Jigging depot, jigging world and ebay seems fairly priced. Anyone recommend h4l jigs/ which design ?

I get most of my jigs from forum member and trip angler kblue.
