This is a pisser, going to Captiva/Sanibel on Friday till Monday to snook fish and the season will not be open.Guess i will drink alot of beer and shark fish then... :drunk:

I will but there are so many snook on the west coast. Shark fishing at night and red fishing in the day time.

Does it really matter if the season is open ?, you can still have fun catching them and letting them go. Even if the season was open you would only be allowed to keep one anyway. Would you stop fishing after you had caught your one ?, But I like your back up plan of drinking lots of beer.

Its fine to catch one and let it go when not in season, but to target it and catch it out of season isnt allowed I believe.
