Cayo Costa in Fall

I am going to be making a trip to Cayo Costa in late summer / early fall and staying in the State Parks campground. I have never been before but I have been to N Captiva which is very close. I am going to be Kayak Fishing anyone know what I can expect that time of year or have any tactics?

I can offer only 1 GOOD piece of practical experience for kayaking there... don't stand up and pee off your kayak in the mangrove bushes!
