Tagalong off shore

Haven't been in SO FL long enough to meet many yakers. I've been puddle jumping and inshore but would love to join an offshore group. Green enough to not have all the knowledge or equipment but smart enough not to tackle this on my own.
4000 and 6000 series spinning reels 14ft Disco Yak.
