peacock slaying

Post by snakehead terror »

In the last two days, I have got around 10 fish a day, fishing around an hour and a half each day with crappie jigs and clark spoons. Thats nothing special, but all of the fish were on a tiny ultralight with 4lb test which is the funnest crap ever :P with four lb test, I go like 3/4 with decent sized pea's. Its hard to stop a big one running for cover.
I also got some talapia and a huge suckerfish.

Idk if 10 fish a day is slaying, but your right the 4lb test is alot of fun. I have a mirco-lite rod that I put 4lb braid on. I use in the Bahamas for baby tarpon off the docks and little grouper. Its a blast. :salut:

How bout 120fish for austin and 87 for me. None caught on beds. All caught walking along the bank right along the water line with your fly rod out like a outrigger, we would get hit then fish off the school. That is slaying with the biggest being 7-8lbs all of them, Average being like 3lbs. I have pics of all of them. :nilly:

Peacocks are fun no doubt, but they get boring.

Nice report and a good time on 4 lb I am sure.Slaying is in the eye of the catcher.... We can't all be sponsored pros
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

1 Day. Month after only caught about 60 a piece. Don't believe me? I'll take you to the spot? I'll actually give you the spot. I never go there anymore. PM Me if you want the address.
