newbie to coral springs fishing

i just relocated from new jersey and started fishing as a real hobby. i tried fishing the canals at heron bay and the bay behind wyndham lakes. i have had no luck using frogs or worms. can anyone suggest a good place for bass and what is the recommended bait. your help is greatly appreciated. thanks......your newbie from jersey

Most lakes will hold bass up there. My advice is to start tossing senkos near any structure or holes you see. You need to.fish slow though. Many times the hit is on the fall. If not, twitch the bait once or twice and let it sit. Only then start a slow start and stop retrieve. Hook them weedless. Or catch some live bait and put it out there. Good luck

Snakehead snakehead snakehead. I throw frogs exclusively in coral springs.

location is also very important, try by any pipes leading into the canals or lakes, also by bridges or any downed trees, any points that jut out into the water, structure, structure, structure. BTW i grew up in Jersey, I used to fish for trout in the rivers and lakes, and blues and fluke in the ocean.
