KAO Camp in St Pete/Madiera Beach...any good fishing

So my family is heading hear in two months. Great looking water around it...looks fishy. Has anyone ever fished here? Im not taking the boat so I will be on foot. Looks like I can wade around pretty good if the bottom is not too soft.

I have not been there, but from some of the reports on here there seem to be a few snook here and there.
Fish like its the last cast you will ever make.
