I fished out of a canoe on Thurs. 3/24/11 afternoon because my nephew that I wanted to take fishing didn't get out of class until 12PM and Friday 3/25/11 morning because it was the last day I could fish. Well on Thursday it was so windy that we could only get 2 cast in before having to reposition the canoe. I didn't dare try to get out of the canoe for fear of tipping it and drowning all my gear. We didn't do that well only catching catfish and lady fish. The park personel told us that we needed to fish in the morning so we tried it again the next day. The only thing was that there was only one high tide for that day and it happened late in the afternoon. So as we all know no moving water slim pickens. I did manage to catch a small snook about 20 to 24 inches outside at a small creek mouth. I have attached a pic. I know this is a good area for fishing just need to plan the trip to include moving water in the morning.

Yea it was snug. Thats what happens when a large person like me trys to put on a (one size fits all), they don't always fit very well. I didn't want to be seen on the outside with it off. No need to attrack a visit from the man. E.G. Simmons Park is an FWC station.
