Went to 7 Mile bridge today and caught a bunch of small Mangroves 8 to 10 inches. All were returned safely. Although we did not catch anything worthwhile to keep, it was encouraging to see so many snappers, albeit small ones.
I believe the bigger ones will be back very soon.

Just got back from a trip to sugarloaf key for a weekend of camping... a weekend of fishing for me. I had intentions of fishing for tarpon and snook. i got there late friday and went out on the bridge near the camp grounds just north of mm 20 not much going on a few keeper groves alot of shark action. The next day i was on a mission headed back north to summerland on a bridge just north of mm 25 walked out to check it out saw pilchirds everywhere so me and my buddy loaded up on em nice big ones i free lined one out on the shadow line got slammed within minitues of it hitting the water i got 2 decent ones and a small one. My buddy hooked into one probably about 150 fought it for about 10 min then it turned and screamed under the bridge wrapped itself and popped the line. Over the course of about 2 hours hooked into about 10 of them. it was a good day did not see any snook though kinda dissappointing.

skumone - any of the bridges in PBC are producing snook right now. You just have to catch them on the right tide.

I guess there are times when you do everything right, but the fish just don't show. Maybe it was poker night.

How was the weather down there?? Is it still windy? I'm planning to go down near the 7 mile bridge this weekend, if work permits.

Quick report I was out in big pine at no name yesterday and the Cudas where all over everything I had what looked to be a 14" Grover on and it got tangled a bit around some other line by the pilings and it was splashing around and as soon as I had it loose a cuda got him I didn't take one fish home but I fought a few cudas with a bunch of quick cut offs mixed in
