Mackeral - Spanish, Cero, Kingfish

Fish must have been caught using Artificals, after November 1, 2006.
Please let us know the tackle you used, and the artificial. Please post pictures with you, fish, and tackle if possible.

This what you said at first. A 12 in blade plus 5 in handle is a 17 in knife and the macks are like 3 times the length of the knife.

I wasn't thinking right. 12-13" Knife. You have seen fillet knives. They are big macks. We had about 6 more about the same size too, but we filleted them before we remembered about the pics.

Caught Thursday Aug 13, 2009 @ Gulf State Park Pier in Gulf Shores, AL
24" FL Spanish mackerel (4.04#) on a 4" Fin-S (Albino shad) on a 1/2 ounce jig head.

Both caught on X-Raps. My fish was one of about 30 caught that size that day (May 09). When I was bringing my fish in the big one was the follower and it ate Elias' plug.

ive seen people use those x-raps and diamond lures. What size and color x-rap do you guys recommend for the bonita and kings and macks? and how do you work the diamons jig through the water?
