All of these were taken on a pink 1.5 oz flare jig the last week or so. I don't weigh or measure, so your guess is as good as mine.

Nothing crazy, just a plain Jane 7/0 mustad jig hook. As long as you keep your hooks sharp enough to penetrate a jawbone, they'll hub up nicely and rarely bend out. If you have a dull hook, and you bury the point of the hook into something bony, any hook will bend/break. I've landed Goliath grouper up to 30lbs and tarpon up to 80 on those jigs, I've only had a couple bend out. Hand sharpening is the key.

My bad, I guess i wasn't up yet and read that as 1/5 oz jig. Thanks for the reply i have been thinking about that off and on today.
I just rigged a pole to go crappie fishing last night and I must have had small jigs on the brain.

Decent snook i got last week on a terroreyez. It may not be too impresive, but I was really just fooling around right before it got dark and wasn't expecting to get one at all.
