Naples-Catching crabs, sand fleas and white bait

Post by kolinski »

Looking for some help in catching some bait. I have a small cast net and would like to to try and get the kids to help me with fiddler crabs and sand fleas. I need help with spots to try as I only have a limited time.
Thanks in advance

Try checking the beach right at sunrise. If there is white bait around youll see what looks like rain on the surface of the water. Should be easy to net of you are at least ok with the net.

Fleas can be caught in the same place just YouTube what to look for there are good demos.

For the crabs stop at any overpass where there is a canal coming in from the ocean. When the tide drops put on a of gardening gloves and start flipping the rocks over that would be below water at high tide. Don't do this with bare hands I learned the hard way its easy to lacerate yourself.
