I love catching them and they make amazing bait. But they have been coming up scarce, lately.

Sure salt water tank with a beach on one side wave action machine to create tidal flow UV light and plankton living in water to feed them and I am sure a ton of other variables ... in other words no. (tommy

Please dont listen to anyone here.... we will attack this the correct way. First we need to think of a terrarium, a terrarium for turtle with a beach side. Tide is not needed but with a wave maker you can create this like i have on my aquarium...I bought one from bolo last year, and have a smaller one in the 29g to create waves. Anyone can make plankton at home as i have made it before for clown fish fry and got my first batch from locals here in Miami. It would look like a meth lab but who cares. I would like to call Kblue on this project.....I'm still waiting for my water sample before he moves onto this project. Im wondering what will (tommy say...

He killed them but was on the right track

They are slightly more expensive than regular sand fleas because of the microscope and other gear required to fertilize the eggs. I read you could insert the male into the female Genetals but they were too small and covered with microscopic crabs to find.

On the plus side I have bred them to all be big and strong

Not an issue, blue. You can run a small skimmer / live rock in a sump to counter this issues as this will take care of that problem.
