Hey BBJames, Hows everything going in AR?
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

its going good. its already getting cold, last night it was 41 and this weekend we are suppose to have a high of 60. went out and caught some trout the other day with one nice sized rainbow but its nothing like catching a mack or shark.

Hey BBJames, what river are you fishing. I have flyfished some of the great rivers in Arkansas.

What are you getting them on? The fall is a great time for BIG BROWNS on Taneycomo.

i fish the white river a lot. i live about 20 mins away from it. we use worms and 3' red power pro worms. i do use the fly rod a few times but im not that good. i go to cotter and do some bigger trout fishing there. landed a 6lb brown and the next cast got a 5lbs brown about 3 yrs ago. down there we use rapalas and other lures more than the smaller worms.

dont worry bolo i got some pics. what section would i post them in?

Post them in USA section, near the forums for Alabama and other Gulf States.

I fished the White and Taneycomo. Have landed some MONSTER browns there fishing streamers. My largest was 8 lbs, but I've seen bigger take swipes at my sculpin patterns.

Nice catch. Did you catch the trout on live bait or fly?

went out yesterday morning(cold) got to the river early morning to find that no one was catching anything. thankfully i found a hole and pulled 4 nice rainbows in a row. moved down river a little and got 1 more nice one and a little guy, my dad also got a real nice rainbow. my wadders had a hole in them so after about 3 hours of having 40 degree water all over my lower half it was time for me to get out, so we went up stream a little to a spot where we could fish from the bank. we ended up getting 6 more rainbows and surprisingly my dad caught a BIG small mouth and i caught a walleye. so all in all it was a great day. ill post some pics of the walleye later. all other fish were released.

ill be heading to beaver lake to do some white bass, hybred and stripper fishing this weekend.

they were all between 14-16 inchs except one which was like 8in. they just did a new regulation on the rainbow here and you cant keep any between 12-16 inchs and you can only keep 1 over 16in.

Yeah, they have strict regs to protect the breeders. I don't keep trout often, but every once in a while I'll keep a 'bow or a brown for a nice shore lunch.

My friend is a guide on Taneycomo and he got a 39" brown 3 weeks ago...and absolute BEAST. Fish is still swimming out there.
