Penn 9 M

Post by Hunter1 »

Hi All , i have a Penn 9 m lw i bought back in the late 70's. Reel is in great shape but the drag is getting weak and worn. I could send it to Penn to be repaired. But i may want to retire it and get a new Penn reel. What would be the equivalent to the 9 M lw in the Penn line up now. Thank's all. :reeling:

I don't think they have anything smaller than the jig master right now in that same price range . you can get that with the level wind on it.
Get ready for a serious increase of gear ratio.
They have like a 975 which is a smaller bait caster type real but it's going to be $200 or more

Thank's greentide, I don't mind spending more money on a reel, So long as the reel is worth the money. I'll check them out. Tight lines. :reeling:
