Oakland Reef 07/05
I will put up some pictures soon. It was a great day on the reef today. I came home with 3 hogs and a Mutton Snapper. Ran into a couple of sharks out there. One of them came within 4-5 feet direct heading towards my buddy. I jabbed him and he took off, but then returned with a bigger shark. We saw them again later, and one of the sharks was sitting on the bottom. I think that they were lemon sharks, but I have no idea really. One was 6, and the other was at least 8. We went into to a shallower reef to avoid them for awhile and went back out a little further north. Shot at multiple yellow tails, and one lane. I am suprised at how fast the yellow tail are. I swear they dodge my spear with Jedi power.

very nice numbers there on your catch. I rarely come across a single hog, let alone legal ones

My biggest hog was 19 inch! For swimming off the beach, I thought that was huge!fishinDave07 wrote:very nice numbers there on your catch. I rarely come across a single hog, let alone legal ones
