My brother tim shot this guy out in 80-90feet freediving no bouy.....almost drowned.

Beside shark bait I don't think it was worth shooting the Jack and risk his life. It's just a big Jack that isn't great table fare.

4 once I'm w/ bolo, j/k. No good 2 eat & not worth drowning over. Besides, a jack like that is worthy of a rod & reel. It died 4 nothing, if ya'll ate it...you know its no good. Next time use the Ugly Stik that was in the pic.

I don't think there is a good story of someone almost drowning.

Yeah it is a good one. He ran out of air.

I agree 100% with everyone. i to questioned why he would even bother to unload on that jack knowing the risks. he had forgotten his buoy which was the problem, so he had to drag that jack up from bout 70ft or so. He shot it for the same reasons you would catch it on R&R. we personally wont be eating it, but some lucky fellow may be.

I would only risk it if it was a huge Yellowfin, Bluefin tuna, or Swordfish.

nice jack. Great sharkbait there. Bad shot tho, no offense. With a jack that size you need a stone shot. Good Shooting tho
