forgot to post it earlier, but a few weeks ago I was fishing with a friend of mine in Flamingo and caught my first saltwater fish on my fly rod!!! a small ladyfish.

Congrats. It is a monster. Put your time in and your will land something bigger. My first fish on fly was a 8lb Bonefish.

haha yeah that fish is a monster but I dont care how big it was, it was a nice first on the fly rod, he fought like a champion though and made it feel like a large fish.

The fall season is here and Flamingo should be much more active. You should try to fish for some Redfish. They are a blast on 7 or 8wt fly rod. There should be some bruiser Tarpon still lingering around.
