Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2008
went out today, fished from 3pm till close. macks were there and i was the only one catching them, got 10 or so caught a few big runner and 2 pomps. had a nice run on my shark rod early then nothing till 7:30 when a mack got hit hard but droped after about 30 seconds. not a bad day of fishing. there was a group of d-bags there today that were catching snook and purposly throwing them as hard as they could back into the water on there sides trying to kill them. they had it out with a few guys and i called the FWC but no one came out. i saw them purposly kill 3-4 big snook just for fun, and then taunt the people that were tell them to stop by yelling at them to watch themthrow the snook. my gf was going to say something to them so they would yell at her and give me a good reason to knock them out. Paulieboy, JunoChris, or anyone on here i will point them out, there were like 6 of them and only one of me. but its B.S.

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2008
If me and bolo were there wed teach them how to swim
Im glad you guys had a great day out there, But killing nice snook during spawning season hurts us all. And Robs us of our furture trips.
If they like throwing fish, then Id like to throw idots .
Screw the FWC Get enough anglers round up im pretty sure the mob will escort them out fast. Maybe without thier rods/reels

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2008
yea i've seen them before, its usually just 2 of them but yesterday it was about 6. they seem to think they are badass because some kid came on the pier and they were threating to fight him. they almost ran him off but they left before him. but i will definitly point them out to you guys if i see you there. about calling the office hookinsnook, from what ive been told they do it a lot and they do it to piss off a regular named Edamar (i believe its spelled that way) and they were taunting him everytime they did it then would make fun of him for saying stuff about it, so im sure someone has complained and gotten them in trouble before. just a bunch of dic*s. they would net them to get them up then throw them down as hard as they could on their sides or throw them up real high on release. i'll try to get pics of them next time and post them on here so everyone can keep an eye out for them

James11, thanks for the info. I cant believe that someone would actualy throw a Snook up then of course falls dowm alot faster, thats just stupid especialy on a pier. They should ban them from the pier forever!!! Please, next time you are there take some pics of them so we all know who they are. Thanks..

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2008
i've been fishing the pier for over a month and ive seen them 5 or 6 times. there is 2 of them that are always there together, one if about 5'10" 180lbs and the other is real small like 5'7" 120lbs. the bigger guy fish's a red 6/0 senator and has light hair and the little guy has real dark short hair. id say the bigger one is in his early 20's when the other is close to 18. but they were is a big group and i have seen the others before but not all of them together. Paulieboy do you know Edamar? if you can find him he will tell you who they are because they were really taunting him about the snook, im guessing he's said something to them and they are doing it to piss him off

I guess nothing until they do it again. Keep calling FWC until they get there and show them the pics. It sucks, i aint trying to be a snitch but that is just unacceptable. If we dont say anything it will just get worst.

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2008
Hey guys, this is my first time posting... I've been reading the forum for about a month or so. I'll be glad to help you guys out with this little situation on Saturday, I'll be at the pier from around 2-7. I'm new at pier fishing so if anyone who has any hints for me. Look for me I'll be wearing a white hat University of Florida fraternity hat. Hope to meet a few of you up there.

If I am correct, red head crazy Brad is banned from that pier and if you're talking about commercial fisherman Peanut, I thought he was in Texas.

That loves to fish.

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2008
Today I caught my first snook on Juno pier. Hey Frank, (HookinSnook), it was great meeting you. Thanks for the tips and your help with the net. When I left the pier I saw Pompanos being caught at the first hut. Lots of off season snook being caught under the pier. I never made to the T to see what was going on there, I was too busy playing with my new Torium 20 purchased this morning. This is gonna be a learning curve since I'm used to spinning reels but so far I like it.
Tight Lines.

Congrats on your first Snook. They pull like a freight train.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Im an old neighbor (to the left if you face your house). The Snook Formula is simple up there right now... Mainline, Sinker, Bead, Leader, 4/0 or 5/0 Circle, live sardine. Toss it under the pier and get ready to rumble.
For anyone that doesnt know, Juno closes just after sunset.
