Pick up Roofer Dave before the sun is up and get to the pier as the sun is cresting the horizon, we get out and the fish start biting right away. Now I have seen many great days, what this one has that others didn't was a all day bite, I don't recall ever seeing the bite maintain so consistent through the day, If I was to put a number on fish I caught it would be 200 and I think that is a low estimate. All I know is I was releasing 3 1/2 to 4 lb MaCKS. It was absolutely a Great Day of fishing, I would give it a low 8 on my scale which is really high and that number is mainly based upon the consistency of the day. I fished with Roofer Dave and Mike and Ryan and numerous others showed through out the Day. I left at 7pm tonight I could not drag myself away any sooner/

I only took 2 Pompano, 3 Big Croakers, 6 Bluefish and about 10 Macks. I did not need anymore and spent most of the day Releasing.

As I said in a post yesterday
Just GO Fishing and this holds for the next 5 Days, yes it will lull and yes I think there will be some more great periods the next 5 Days, the slowest Day being Friday.
But you never know, Just go fishing somewhere if you feel like fishing.

Here you go watch for yourself, I will upload a HD render later it takes longer and I will also upload another vid done by our Video guy tomorrow or the Day after.

Awesome day fishing!!! Great job busting the macks up. Wish I could have been there. :auto: :fish:

Hope to see you all Saturday :toast:

My arms hurt
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Bite had slowed when I left at 12 noon, but hey it could start in a blink of an eye.

Great Mack Bite, to many to count all released. I ended up though with 4 keeper Pomps.

what a great day... and rob youre so right. i went through 3 gotchas two of which i had just bought 45 mins earlier within 40 mins of gettin there..... messed up my day for the macks too i only scored two, i got there late though around 9 9 30. bite slowed like tommy said all was quiet for a few hours til 3ish, then shark after shark after shark(small ones) on both my rods....hit near 20 of them lol... at least it was entertaining til the 11th one....another small mack run around 3 30 then died down again, but hey i wasnt at work surrounded by good ppl and fished all day, came home with three decent sized macks and a sun burn.....great day nonetheless....BRING WIRE is all i have to say, like i told tommy i learned that teh expensive wya today lmao. my flouro was no match.

GREAT TO SEE everyone, sorry i wasnt very talkative today guys, lots on my mind and thigns going on as i stated to some of ya....

got there around 4:45pm left at 5:30 with 1 3.5lb spanish, thanks for the use of your net if you are a member......no better way to end the work week since I missed mayhem. Hopefully will get a few keeper pomps this weekend. Hit a few blues before I had to make it out of there and saw a few other macks come up with a few bruiser follow in my spoon. Tight lines you guys.

8) The giant ground swells are coming. We just better hope the pier doesn't start losing planks.

Hey Clarence, as far as I go you'd laugh... I run 10lb ande clear with 20 lb flouro. My strat is to use a big lure so the chance of them short striking or over striking is shorter. I swear by the ghost x-raps, especially for macks, even when theyre hesitant to hit anything else I find them nailing the ghost fairly consistently and since it is a big lure they seldom miss. That being said when it gets super tough and I have to go to crappie jigs I lose at least half of a package lol. All that being said I HATE wire, I refuse to use it, I can afford to lose a lure here and there! Just a matter of watching how they eat and getting used to it, slow down your retrieve so they dont miss! Also, NO HARDWARE! Clean uni to uni since they nail swivels and anything that has depth!!!

8) Slow down your retrieve and you get cutoff more. I reel full speed most of the time and seems to work quite well for me.

The mack bite was dead, but I figured they couldn't be too far away, so I started casting a yozuri minnow on the south side of the pier, trying to see if there are any cudas or ladyfish hanging around, then I saw the big silvery shadows... people kept telling me they were houndies, I thought it was ladyfish chasing, until the strike.. it was awesome.. then.. everyone starting getting cut off next to me and we all ended up changed lures several times... I still had a great time and think its time for me to move to wire...

oh.. Juan, I lost 2 large yozuris today.. nice ones.. but I will be back with many more.. for some reason the bigger macks (the ones I wanted to catch) seem to accelerate and hit the lure from the front.. I was watching them do it to me... both times the larger macks would chase, the biggest in the pack would come round the front and slice me off just like that!

only stayed about 2 hours, Either way, had a blast with Jerry (clearance2society) and a few others I saw out there today.
