With this cold front nothing is happening at DFP. Anglins has been catch a lot of Macs at first light.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Bait was hard, very hard this AM - Water was clear.
I nailed a 33" King on a Gotcha - lots of fun - he just smoked the crap outta my Sahara 4000 and Marco trolleyed up a decent S'mac. Other than that, dead slow and googinated to the max. Too many people too much headache - I left and came home long before I turned into a pumpkin just to keep from getting frustrated...

Re: Deerfield Pier Fishing Reports 2009 "ONLY REPORTS"
I did not catch anything today.
In terms of conditions. The wind was blowing northeast.
Overall, bait was hard. Gogs were being snagged, even the one that was caught on a bug was snagged. Ballyhoo were being caught after a chum block was put down.
One Cobia came up, that was probably just a few inches from being a keeper. The Cobia was caught on a Gog (I am almost certain it was on a trolley). About 3 Muttons came up, one of which was barely a keeper. All Muttons were caught on bottoms rigs, with fresh cut up Ballyhoo. I did not see any Macs or Kings come up.
Good luck for those who are going out tonight.

Actually today the winds were from the southwest, not sure if you were trying to say the same thing or not, but usually the winds are reported from the direction they come from not where they blow to....hoser wrote: The wind was blowing northeast.
Where were you fishing on the pier ?- I was the guy who looked like he should not be fishing, who was chucking cut over the NE side Rockpile off the T

Ahh...OK...southeast winds. Good to know, thanks. I was only fishing until 12:30-ish. I had to leave to grab lunch with my brother at Bob's pizza (He actually works around the way from DFP). I actually really like their greasy slices of cheese pizza. Afterwards I had to go.Cookinman wrote:Actually today the winds were from the southwest, not sure if you were trying to say the same thing or not, but usually the winds are reported from the direction they come from not where they blow to....hoser wrote: The wind was blowing northeast.

I was on the T, but kept to myself since I really don't know anyone. Every now and then I will talk. Most of the time, while my poles are out, I just watch different methods of fishing and occasionally ask questions.

I was there from noon til 5. I had a lizardfish hit a jig and a hit on live bait, but only landed baitfish. Sloooooow the last few days. A change in wind is welcomed.

Re: Deerfield Pier Fishing Reports 2009 "ONLY REPORTS"
hit deerfiled today and left very shortly after its a joke. There was almsot no one there and the reason is no fish. The last week has been pathetic, maybe one or two kings a day at the max, theres bait and wind no fish.

Re: Deerfield Pier Fishing Reports 2009 "ONLY REPORTS"
went to the pier today and for the most part it was as viktor said but it got ok when the snook started eating gogs. they were too spooked to bug so jamison was snagging them and he had a snook eat his gog on the snag rig and get on the the pilings. so i rigged up my accurate and freelineda gog and got frayed off by a diesel 40"+ snook. i re rigged with heavier leader and got another gog and as i was fishing it a ray swam by with 10+ cobes on it. i thre the gog on him and it got sucked. 34 1/2"
pic for some reason makes it look tiny , papi also got a 36 incher.

Nice cobia way to be rigged and in the right place at the right time.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.
