Mojarras aka sand perch are one of the best white baits there are IMO! The beauty is that they are usually found around estuaries and thus they will work on both fresh and salt water species.

Dragon Jr. (the Kid) went tonight from 6 PM till 10 PM, got 3 big ribbonfish approx. 3 feet long, and he said it was blowing & rough. He said another guy pulled up a decent sized Blue. That's tonight's report...

I went last night and no bites, but this morning was a different story. Fished from the beach and got 3 nice Blues, and the Macks were just outside the first sandbar going nuts! Schools of them jumping all over the place. Couln't reach them but the guys on the pier were catching them.

Wow! What a morning at Dania Beach! The bait was getting slammed as far as you could see from North to South. Of course, they were outside of casting range, but I had fun watching. This went on for over an hour. I haven't seen this much bait action in a while. I got some not so good video with my phone. It was even better watching the show from the pier.I saw 1-Bonita caught and a keeper Mutton. I never saw this much ballyhoo around any pier.We caught 3-blue fish in the morning and that was it.Water was to clear but the weather was just beautiful.

Most of that are just Bonitas. That isn't the only place they are doing that in the morning. Morning feast on Hoos then wander off.

It started very slowly this morning but still the pier was packed.As soon as we started catching pilchards the Mack bite was started and lasted for about an hour.We caught some decent Macks and a few blue fish.Also caught 1-lady fish and when we left around 11-am people were still catching bait.Nice day to spend fishing.

Hit the pier at 7am and didn't get the first bite until 10, not counting the runners, leatherjacks and cowfish. It was worth the wait. Bagged this a 25", 5 1/4 lb. Spanish and an hour later got the 17 incher. After that, I fished 'til 1:00 and got two hit 'n' spits and about 6-8 mack flashes. Saw one other small mack and heard a rumour of a couple of other nice ones. Artificials were the only thing producing any results. The green Yo Zuri on the cooler lid is my new favorite and has produced some nice macks last weekend and today.

Sweet mack , the crazy colors seem to be producing as of late. I used a clown colored Xrap to catch a few once they turned off to the normal colors a few trips ago.

Hey Guys new here" Went to the pier today

caught 1 mack and a blue runner on a jig, threw them back. No Bait but if you know how to catch sand perch/ Mojarras they were hitting that....

saw a couple of nice macks being flipped but nothing to get exited about. tight lines guys
