Glad you didn't get hurt worse than you did. I have totally gotten away from wading, never had a bad experiences but thought was just safer on shore. I always wear sandals, never know what you might step on.

Hit up Palm Beach again tuesday afternoon on the way home from school....
surf was rough with small whitebaits getting slammed near the shore.
Saw this guy crusing along, casted to him and i was on. Weighed out to 12lb on the boga grip & Went into the freezer for sharkbait when the surf calms down....

Caught a smaller one and had some huge ladyfish on.

Went again today(thursday) no bait, and even rougher surf. Managed a 5lb jack and nothing else

My cousin is visiting from Philly and I took him fishing this morning. He caught his first ever snook on a DOA BFL original! Lots of smaller jacks and a few blues were chasing bait around and we caught some of everything. Around 8 the catching stopped but it was a fun morning.

Took my cousin out again this morning, and this time he found a more picture worthy snook. Silver spoon, right before sun up. He also nabbed a big lady fish and a few jacks. I got a few jacks on a super spook. Another wonderful morning of fishing.

North Palm. A little south of the Jupiter Inlet. I went again this morning and managed only a small snook and a bluefish. I talked to a guy who said he was there friday and landed 18 snook. That is an impressive day's catch!

Been doing decently well on a variety of species in my local area. Needed a change of pace and went up to Hobe Tuesday morning. Not a strike in 2/12 hours, first time I have ever struck out there, better luck next time.

Had a nice blitz of blues, ladyfish, sharks and jacks along Palm Beach yesterday. Bait seems to have moved offshore today. Lot of dunes and beach has been lost this fall...

South of the Juno Pier I fished pomp rigs with live fleas in the surf - caught two bluerunners. I have not heard of any pompano caught in the last 7 days. Maybe some cold weather would help :?:

Southern Palm is unfishable at most times because of an additional sandbar compliments of "sandy"..about 35 yards out..it goes 3f,t 4ft, 1 ft...than ...3,ft,4ft, another sandbar ..

What's wrong with 3 ft of water? I've caught fish in 6 inches of surf.

I fished the surf at Spanish River this afternoon and caught a trumpet fish.

Never seen a trumpet fish on the beach before.

cool lookin fish..i caught on a boca beach too...and yes...but i was referring to boca beaches in particular..the problem is not the 3 ft its the sandbar further out,the fish do not come over.............specifically if it is not high tide ..that is what I have found which made unfishable for me...very different from deerfield line and up.....maybe others have had better luck..

One reason the fish aren't coming over the sandbars is that what bait is around isn't coming close to shore. When the bait does that's when you catch fish in ankle deep water.
I've a few trumpets off the beaches here

Our waters seem to be changing this year. I've never seen so many AJ's even big ones, so close in and in so many numbers. Never saw Trumpets all over the surf before either, and what of the Ribbon fish invasion.

I sure am not complaining about the AJ's though, they're a blast to catch and eat. :reeling: But I did find worms in a big one from the pier recently.

wait until you catch an Atlantic Cutlassfish. They look like something from prehistoric times.
