We have a good many rod builders here and also those with much to offer about reels, so if you need help with Rods-Reels- or Wrapping do it here

weave looks like it could be mistaken. not very clear cut. sure you could make it look good on a rod tho

PA its not that bad. add a few lines to the weave to sharpen up the clarity as to what it is and youre good. i dont know anything about building rods and weaves but im pretty sure you can make it look good.
