Margate canals report

Post by snook spy »

Went out fishing this morning, on the water around 6:00 am and fished untill noon when the storms drove me out. Good day, my buddy and I caught about 20 bass, all small in the 1 to 2lb range. Also targeted snakeheads using topwater, mostly frogs. Landed five, had 3 break off and had one hit my frog that was, well I'll just say it sounded like a person doing a cannonball when he hit my frog, of course he missed it  Here are 2 pics of the bigger snakeheads landed.

Nice report thanks for sharing. Not a lot of freshwater reports as of late.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

I'm pretty sure I know exactly where you're at and I can tell you there is a few big ones
there. They are just real cautious and you will only get one shot at them, but I have caught 8-10lb snakes there, just keep trying..
