Just having alittle fun!! It can't be all fish tales. Especially that there are very few fish tale from Baggs, except for the one that got away.

That is 1 of the 2 that I caught. If I'm not mistaken that is a Crevalle. At first I said it was a Jack. But the jacks I believe that they not have that black spot in the front on there side. And after spending a while looking at the different species of fishes on the web. The other one was a Fla. pompano, I'm almost 98% sure. please correct me if I'm wrong on the Crevalle. I assume they are all related because they look alike.

As soon as I got home the fish was cleaned and eaten! And normally when I'm out with the whole family, the phones stay at home. I don't take my phone on my day off. I get enough calls during the week. But I'll keep that in mind next time.

Not me, I don't touch seafood. Especially fishes, every now and then I will eat shrimps but that is as far as I go. My wife and father are the fish eaters. I just like to catch them. When I catch anything worth while that's who eats them.

Took advantage of the break in the lousy weather we've been having and decided to head out to Bill Baggs with a few friends. Got there at 4pm and fished the outgoing tide until 8pm. The water was a choppy dark green color with very low visibility, and there was a light current to it. There was a lot of bait in the water; sardines, small grunts, etc. which were sabikied up.Shortly after the tide change, I caught a nice 17" to the fork Yellow Jack on a tiny live grunt, and before sunset 2 of my friends caught a Mangrove Snapper each, 11" and 12", on decent sized live shrimp. Between friends, good weather, and a few fish, it turned out being a great afternnon at the Cape!

Good karma today after 3 months of absence from fishing... mutton 16 inches, crevalle 18 inches... lost a couple of hooked fish that went into rocks either mutts or fat hoggies, as usual my picture is too big and it's late, I'll try to post picture tomorrow :cyclops:

Went to the park with some friends today with some good sized live shrimp and a few crabs and all the hopes in the world to catch something worthy... a filming crew was working at the seawall so fishing there was closed... we went to the piers and the first three were ocupied so we took the fourth, all i caught there was undersized muttons and a porgy , one of my friends was pulling a fat sea trout and a bullshark came and took it all but the head!!

My other buddy was playing with the huge grouper that lives under those pillings threw half a ballyhoo and to my surprise she ate it and took him for a ride until went into the rocks and broke the line... perfect day not so perfect luck but I was sure the seawall would have render some good prize fish today but it was closed to public :|

ps. tomorrow the filming crew will be there , so if anyone plans to fish the seawall its a no no.
