I went bridge hoping and met up with John over there, nice seeing you man and thanks for the pins! I only got a mangrove at that bridge and had some fun with tarpons (one unintended and one on a bomber lure). Saw some jacks and tried casting a jig to them but a tarpon took it and made me eat the rocks. I made the mistake of not checking my drag before casting and it was tight, so when I set the hook I lost balance on the rocks and ate it. Fishing with bad feet is no fun, LOL..I went to 4 bridges but couldn't find any more jacks. On the last bridge the mangos were all under 12". I saw a school of cudas and targeted a 5 footer and when it was following my arti another one came from under the bridge and nailed it, oh well a cuda is a cuda. I went back up the keys and still couldn't find any jacks, bigger mangos, or bigger cudas....Here are my catches to enter:

In the way in there was no traffic, but that story changed in the afternoon. Everybody decided to go to the keys to scout for this week's lobster mini season. The boats were unbearable after 11am.

Awsome report, grats on the catches. Mini season, that's right That's some nightmare traffic, but at least you're on the tourny board and current leader I believe. Great job.

Those other ones were to test the one hook thing since I heard that some people are pushing to close fishing for barracudas or making double hook rigs illegal (tube lures and artis would fall under this).

You da man Herb. Those pics are tuff when you are by yourself.

That traffic was bad. And that was the short cut. I noticed all the boats coming through but we didn't see any back ups down this way.

Thanks man But you gonna get a bigger one ...Tell me about it man....The traffic was more noticeable past Tavernier, looks like they all decided to come at the same time. The 18 mile stretch was packed so I went Cardsound again. I feel for you all that live there is gonna be a rough week man.

One more on the board, that's what counts Better luck next time. Soon we will all find the bigger ones if we go looking for them. How were the boats out there? I don't see any in the pic. Tonight is when when mayhem strikes.

Herb they all showed up a little after 11:30am. Before that is was quiet and beautiful then it just got nasty. One went under the tunnel fast and caught my line in his props almost taking my Rod into the water so I had to run over and grab it quick while they spooled the whole reel empty and popped it off... we didn't expect him to run Through that tunnel and it was too late.

I'll post the report up soon in the other section for you all.

That's why I left early on Saturday, the boaters were getting heavier by the minute. That's how it goes, we now have to get ready for the first few weeks of August and we will have them all over.
