Hahaha true, I could blame my boy since he was so excited he wouldn't stop reeling,
Like I said, I have no clue what it was all I know is it didn't have stripes, markings more similar to a squared/spotted pattern, after that I give up ha!

Do you know what kind of bait he used for the snook?

8) Not many people down here know that the fish in the pic is a Rabbit Fish, nor have they heard of it since they are not too common here. The fact that someone said it was a Rabbit Fish, then the following day I see plenty caught there, that is why I say that. The fish doesn't come up looking like a puffer full of air too often. So the pic can look a little different than how you'd see it come up.

There are many species of them, but yes, the names are used interchangably.

In Virginia and NC we called them "blowtoads". And yes, they are good eating, the best way to clean them is with an old fork. You get a strip of meat that is almost identical to a chicken breat cutlet.

Wow, just wow.....

Anyways was at the pier last night and froze my behind off, lots of serious hits and cut offs on mullet chunks, so I am guessing sharks, saw a couple of guys catch a larger shark on a giant pilchard that I sabiki'ed up and gave them, had some great hits on live shrimp that I brought but whatever grabbed it immediately wrapped my line up under the pier (my fault for not having the drag set correctly) all in all it was a fun night with some nice people, did I mention that I froze my behind off?

I'm going back tonight!
