Hey if you haven't already heard there's a
snook only tourney coming to the Treasure Coast next month. The tourney is being held by First Light Tackle and FL Sportsman to benefit the Snook & Gamefish Foundation, if you're not familiar with what we are doing to protect our fisheries you can read more about our efforts as well as download a registration form here

artificials ONLY challenge. All of the events (capt meeting & awards party) will be at River Palm Cottages in Jensen Beach and will be catered by Flanigan's. One of the really cool things is we (SGF) are tagging 3 snook each with a
$500 bounty if caught! Other prize categories include: BIGGEST snook, 3 best snook (combined total inches of 3 snook) and MOST slot snook released PLUS we just got Starbrite to donate $150 of your choice of Starbrite products for the winner of the "Mystery Fish" catch!! As of now we have prizes from Penn Reels, Costa del Mar, SeaDek Marine, Crowder Rods, Eva-Kool Coolers, Florida Sportsman,Hoo-Rag and Juno Bait & Tackle made a bad ass CUSTOM snook rod for us!! Single angler registration is $60 and it includes a tourney t-shirt, captains bag FULL of goodies and 1 dinner ticket for the awards party...as if all this isn't enough remember 100% of the proceeds are being donated to the Snook & Gamefish Foundation so you'll get the warm & fuzzies for helping out a great cause.
