Winter snook fishing

Post by mil7950 »

November i had some luck in the intercoastal with doa shrimp but the bite turned off as soon as the temp dropped into the 50s. Ive tried live mullet, doa shrimp, and swimbaits over the past month and no snook. Dropped down to 15lb fluoro and a 3inch doa shrimp, not even a bite. This weekend im going to try out an xrap and doa shrimp at one of the jetties, possibly blue runner or mullet if i can get some. Any tips or lure recommendations? I prefer artificials but im going to try live bait if this weekend is a blowout.

Pin a live mullet or jumbo shrimp to bottom. Flood gates good winter spots. From what i hear. I dont even fish
