Well, I caught 2 catfish, a large ray, 2 small mangrove snapper & a nice Jack Crevalle....
Bonnie had a 3.5'-4' Cobia on for a helluve fight, till it wrapped the pilings. I jumped in & tried to grab...

:thumbdown: i don't mean to sound like a grouch, but shore bound fishing in the ft. myers area sucks. all ive caught were small sharks and jumbo hard head cats. most ppl catch the same thing.

So, the wife caught 1 lady & 1 kitty. But, there was a MASSIVE redfish cruising the pier in the 4'+ range. Wouldn't take anything thrown at it for 25-30 minutes. We think it was sick or something....

So, between 4 of us,caught 2 whiting, about 30 - 40 catfish, 7 rays. Interesting part is getting 80# coated leader sliced cleanly in 3 different instances. Something BIG is out there & we'll be back...

The asteroid brought on lightning, thunder & rain 15 minutes before it's arrival. Oh well, we'll have to wait for the next one to see if it helps with fishing...
