For well over a month, Hutchinson Island has been holding tons of pilchards at the beach....Pelicans dive bombing them all day long. Easy to sabiki rig them, in fact, I had a snook hit a bait I was reeling in and had him on for one jump. Lately the pilchards are small but plenty full.
It is a surfers dream as the waves are fairly high and rolling with a strong North to South current. I just don't understand how the rest of the ocean is flat calm, and the wave action is so pronounced.

I saw a man with 3 kids were fishing near Seaway dr the other day. They kept all the undersized mangroves and a couple muttons.. not impressed

That sounds like one of those who really don't know anything about regulation.
