Hey,
This is Guy from Rip the lips. I just snagged a couple of gators like I did last year. I have a whole pile of meat. Would anyone like me to bring some to the BBQ?

I would say hell yeah! Especially if anyone is bringing a fryer. Fried gator nuggets...yum.

This sucks! I just read that Bill will make land fall somewhere between Bermuda and the Eastern seaboard (FL) in the next 3 to 4 days. Which means they have no idea where it's going. Could put a damper on the BBQ. Not to mention the fishing competition. Might make the casting competition kind of interesting though.
Nice Boat! Now get it outa my driveway!

Where did you read that? Every forecast model I've seen has it going north, making landfall up in New England or Canada.

Rory; I just read it on Comcast from the National weather Center in Miami. They said the most significant threat is to Bermuda. However it may pass between Bermuda and the eastern seaboard. Which means they don't know until it gets there. here is the link. http://www.comcast.net/news/articles/ge ... l.Weather/

If it hugs the eastern coast fishing should get really good after it passes. BBQ is continue regardless of hurricane.

The pavilion is big enough to keep us all dry but the Grilling area has no cover. With that said: Rain or shine, absolutely.

We can cover one side of the pavilion with a tarp to protect the food and electronics. If anyone has a tarp, please bring it.

Here is the outlook for Sunday (this is from NOAA)
Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 91. South wind around 7 mph.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 78.

I believe the pavilion can handle a category 3 hurricane.

It all started slow, not many in the early morning but a lot of people showed up, about 80 to 100 people, Many came, left, and others showed, but the majority stayed. It was nice talking to all of you and the food everybody brought was great. Thanks Rob, Mark, and Scott for your your donations. It is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all that brought something and to all that showed up... :toast: Here are some pics...And thanks Nessa for taking most of them... :toast:

The man that single handedly won the fishing competition, he came at the right time so I let him go out with a secret item (sorry man you had to legitlimately win :D ) He came back with a pic of a jack and the secret item so he won the nice Star Rod

People started to come in so we started some more of the free raffles:
